The Early Years Funding Portal (EYFP) is a comprehensive system for managing government-funded childcare hours for children aged 9 months to 4 years.
Key Features
- Child Management - Register and manage children's records, including personal details, medical information, and funding eligibility
- Funding Submissions - Create and track funding claims for each funding period
- Parent Portal - Allow parents to complete and sign funding declarations online
- GOV PDF Forms - Generate official DfE-styled parental declaration forms with automatic ethnicity codes and manager details
- Additional Extras - Track chargeable items like meals and activities, displayed on funding agreements
- Attendance Tracking - Record funded and paid hours for each child
- Multi-Nursery Support - Staff can be assigned to multiple nurseries with job titles and manager flags
- Reporting - Generate reports and export data for local authority submissions
User Roles
The portal supports different user roles with varying permissions:
- Nursery Staff - Day-to-day management of children and submissions
- Nursery Manager - Full access to nursery data and approvals (appears on funding documents)
- Head Office - Organisation-wide access, reporting, and administration
- Parent - Access to their children's funding submissions
